During pregnancy, the body’s posture changes dramatically. Hormones released during pregnancy cause changes to ligaments, joints and muscles. Massage therapy relieves aches and pains these changes can cause, assists with muscular balance and eases the sympathetic nervous system. Improving overall posture and muscle balance during pregnancy – especially in the final stages – can help the baby maintain a healthy position and support a positive birthing experience. Therapeutic massage is safe at all stages of pregnancy and special equipment and positions make it easy and comfortable too.
Both breastfeeding and bottle feeding can keep the body stuck in a single or awkward position for too long, causing aches, strains or tension. This discomfort can spoil some of the most intimate moments between parent and baby. Massage therapy can ease muscle pain and release tension in the chest and neck, while manual lymphatic drainage can reduce fluid congestion, helping to prevent and alleviate clogged ducts that can lead to mastitis.

Infant Registered Massage Therapy

Babies can develop muscular tension, similar to adults. Massage Therapy can be helpful for babies and can foster healthy development. Full body massage can be used to calm your babies nervous system. Focused on abdominal massage can be used for babies dealing with constipation or colic.

General Registered Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage consisting of kneading, lifting and gliding techniques. The therapist adapts her pressure, in order to reduce tension and restrictions in the bodies’ soft issues. The therapist will customize a treatment plan based on the client’s health history, assessment findings and goals.

Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, non-invasive massage technique that reduces swelling and enhances functioning of the immune system. The therapy works by gently stretching the skin and encouraging a draining effect in the tissues.
